This basic course on prophecy is very important for the believer.  In a
general sense it refers to proclaiming and thus to preaching.  But
technically a prophet was not only able to proclaim God's message but he
was able to predict the future.

Prophecy is a distinct and unique feature of revelation wholly foreign to
human ability.  It amounts to history being prewritten, therefore must
prove a great phenomenon.  Its fulfillment in the past is unquestionable,
standing as indisputable evidence for inspiration.
