The Book of Life

Saved person’s names are not entered into the Lamb’s book of life at the moment of salvation.
In eternity past, the Lamb’s book of life contained the names of every member of the human race. At the end of human history, the Lamb’s book of life will contain only the names of those persons who became saved at some time in human history. A person’s name is blotted out of the Lamb’s book of life when that person dies physically, having rejected Jesus Christ as Savior throughout his or her entire lifetime. When a member of the human race believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, rather than his name being entered into the Lamb’s book of life, that name which already exists in the Lamb’s book of life loses its temporary status and becomes so permanent that it is incapable of erasure.
